78-82 Attended MSU - Majors in Accounting; met Stephen in '79; married in May '82 and moved to Great Falls; controller for the Montana Easter Seals Society 82-83; moved back to Helena in Feb '84; worked for the State Department of Commerce from April 84 to present as a Staff Accountant for various Divisions-Currently working for the Board of Investments as a Staff Accountant. Also doubling as a part-time programmer and systems analyst. Brain was born in Nov 1986 and a new baby due 9/88 - Steve has been working for USF&G Insurance for a year. We are anticipating a transfer this fall (with the company).

Classmates that you still "hang out" with: Betty Ann Bryant Friday night ranchitoes and haircuts once a month. Betty Ann and Angie (Clinch) Johnson are still my very best friends. We keep in touch !!!
When you were a Freshman, what did you want to grow up to be: A hairstylist, I worked as one, for 20 years, 9 of them in my own salon it was great!!!
Tell us more about your children: Eric is 6 years old and starting 1st grade , Loves t-ball and Soccer. Erin is 3 and Love's ballet and is to funny!!! I love having my kids, I got a late start but must say I am glad I waited.
What have you been doing with yourself since High School (this is where you add any additional information): Just worked and tried to get ahead, got married in 95 and quit my job to be a mom. My husband workes for Boeing has been there 20 years. We feel lucky to have a good job in these times.

Ten years is a long time to put on two lines, but certainly will try to give you all the real "good stuff". I attended WMC the first year after high school. The next summer I was employed on Fisher Island, NY; where I meet my ex-husband. We lived in NY about a year and a half. On our move to Texas, we stopped here in Helena for about a year. I spent a year in Fort Worth working at a computer data processing center. I returned to Helena in '82 and went to work at the State Health Department. In 1985, I built a house on the west side of town, with my contractor's help of course! Currently, I am still employed with the health dept. and am raising two wonderful children - Brandon, age seven and Kristine, age six. How was that for ten years of history all combined into 9 lines?

After graduating form Capital High School in 1978, I packed up my things and headed out to Carroll College, a small liberal arts institution located perhaps a mile or so away (just call me "Mr. Adventuresome"!) Upon graduating from Carroll four years later with degrees in Business Administration and Finance, I promptly jumped into the frenzied business world with both feet, landing a job as a bartender at a local restaurant and lounge. Then, in the spring of 1983, after growing tired of discussing lofty financial theries with drunken patrons (and after a brief stint as an office equipment salesman) I joined the Montana Department of Commerce in Helena. Roughly a year later, in June of 1984, I married Rosemary Walsh, an event I have grown to cherish and Rosemary has grown to accept. Since August of 1985 we have lived in Great Falls, where I work as an investment banker for D. A. Davidson & Co. and Rosemary works as a teacher, counselor, nurse, psychologist, cook, gardner, accountant, and mother. We have two beautiful children, John, born March 16, 1986 and Katie, born February 28, 1988.

Memories: I remember the day Janna threw a rock at Tina Yahvan's car to get my attention and shattered the window. That got everyone's attention.

I managed a clothing store for a year. Then went to work at Norwest Bank on and off for seven years. The last baby, I worked the whole day I was in labor. She was born that evening and I have been home and babysitting 3-4 extra children since then (1986). With the families I babysit for, it makes it possible to get "time off" for any family trips that arise so I'm not stuck at home. I still enjoy singing. My husband and I have sung and played at several weddings the past couple years.

Family: Just celebrated 10 years of marriage with my wonderful wife Brigid. We have 2 beautiful sons, Connor(6) and Logan(4) and we have a baby due in August. I don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy but Brigid does - she peeked at the answer.
Career: Heigh ho, Heigh ho it’s off to Japan we go! I’ve been selected to command a Navy helicoptor Squadron in Atsugi, Japan. I’ve been promoted to the rank of commander - which is the same as Lieutenant Colonel if you’re familiar with the other services (or Spock’s rank if you’re a Star Trek fan).
Accomplishments: I’ve got a wonderful family, a job I love, a masters in National Security and Strategic Studies. (I don’t know what I’ll do with that) and I can still run a mile in under 6 minutes. Who could ask for more?!!
Classmates: Conniving with Dan O’Fallon to make Mrs. Slattery question Brian Fitzpatrick’s integrity. Hey Dan, why was that so easy?
Teachers: Watching Joe Speiker run. He couldn’t run worth beans but he was a hell of a coach. I learned more from him that has helped me in life than any teacher I’ve ever had.
Activities: Winning 2 State Cross Country titles & placing 6th in the State Track 2 mile. The second title was bitter sweet because a foot injury prevented me from contributing to the title as much as I wanted. The 2 mile was redemption!

What have you been doing with yourself since High School: Went to Marquette University on a Navy ROTC scholarship. Earned a Business degree and was commissioned an officer in the Navy. Went to flight school where I learned to fly helicopters. Have lived all over the United States and in Japan. Have made deployments to the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Arabian Gulf, and West Pacific. Earned a Masters in National Security Affairs from the Naval War College and served as Commanding Officer of a tactical helicopter squadron. Currently the Navigator of the USS Constellation returning from a very successful deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
