Web Page Updates

  • 09 Sep 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates letting them know that Josh Stewart had passed away.

  • 11 Aug 2005 - I spent several hours going through the Capital High School 2004 Alumni Directory book and added in all the new data that I found (a lot of it).  I then recreated the Demographics page.   When I found a new email address in the book, I sent an email to that address letting the classmate know about our web page and inviting them to enter a biography.

  • 09 Aug 2005 - Once again I've had something slip my mind.  I've added Rick Foster's bio and added him to the email list.   Sorry Rick.  I was reminded because Theresa Burgess/King sent in her Bio, so I've added that as well. Dennis Eddlemon also sent in a Bio that I forgot to add.  I did that.   Also added Dennis's UI Photo's web page to the Related Web Sites Page.

  • 08 Aug 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates letting them know that I had posted photos of the mini reunion that Cathy Campbell/Kaiser emailed to me.  Cathy also gave me Theresa Burgess/King's and Brian Fitzpatrick's email addresses, so they have been added to our email listing.  I also forgot to add Joe Funk (for those of us from Hawthorne) so I've added him as well.

  • 23 Jul 2005 - Added some more "Reunion Humor" and a "Last Updated" item to the opening page.  The opening page now scrolls though a random list of classmates photos.  Added an option to bookmark the web page to the users Favorites.

  • 21 Jul 2005 - Found that I'd lost the SEARCH feature when I converted to the new format.  Added it back in so you can search for yourself or your fellow classmates.

  • 23 Jun 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates letting them know about the new opening web page.  Lost Classmates (invalid email addresses) from my last two emails include Kelly Hall, Tammy Glasscock, Allen Thomas, Jeanne Scanlan/Roske, and Scott Kottas (email box full)

  • 19 Jun 2005 - While on a business trip last March I found out that our opening web page doesn't work with programs like WebTV so I've re-written the opening page.  Because there are hundreds of possibilities that there will be broken links, I need your help.   If you find a broken link, please email me and let me know what page you were on and what link you clicked on that was broken.  I hope you like the new page.   Oh yes, Happy Father's Day

  • 12 Jun 2005 - Updated Vicki Erickson's information using information I found in her father's obituary.

  • 09 Jun 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates reminding them of the informal reunion.  Got a reply from John Glosser letting me know he was currently in Iraq.

  • 13 Apr 2005 - While on a business trip to Honolulu I finally was able to catch up with Kris Emge.  Nothing new for the page, but I do have contact information now.

  • 13 Apr 2005 - Updated Mark Lies and Brenda Leistiko/Ellis, added Clark Cosart. Added all in the email list

  • 05 Mar 2005 - Added Ellie Mayala/Osborn and Teresa Beebe/Gustine to the email list.  Updated Tracy Dahl/Halubka's email address.

  • 28 Feb 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates reminding them of the Informal Class Reunion

  • 30 Jan 2005 - Added Scott Ballard's updated data

  • 30 Jan 2005 - Added Tom Hughes' updated data

  • 20 Jan 2005 - Added Michael Ness to the web page and corrected Mitch Ness' bio (it was actually Mike's)

  • 17 Jan 2005 - Sent an email to Classmates letting them know about the CHS Alumni Directory and asking if I could provide their information next time around.

  • 14 Jan 2005 - Got my copy of the "Capital High School Alumni Directory 2004".  It's not as professional as I'd hoped, but it did have some leads on classmates listed on our "Missing Classmates" page.  I've sent an email out to those I found with email addresses.

  • 30 Dec 2004 - Added Jack Cuniff

  • 21 Dec 2004 - Fix another glitch in viewing of classmate data.  Seems our Internet Service Provider changed the rules again without telling me (the webmaster).  But, of more concern to me is that nobody from our class let me know it was broken..  If you find a mistacke on the page, let me know.  I can't fix what I don't know about.

  • 19 Nov 2004 - I'm adding a bunch of different backgrounds to pages.  Bill Kaiser gave us the go ahead to use some of his copyrighted photos for that.  I also added him and his web page to our Credits web page.

  • 18 Nov 2004 - I found 150 broken links to classmates that nobdy told me about :-(   I have uploaded fixes.  If you find any broken links, please let me know.  There is a link to send the webmaster an email if you get the "broken link" message.

  • 18 Nov 2004 - Curtis Synness has allowed us to use his articles about the history of sports at Capital High.  I just found out that his web site needs advertisers to maintain itself, so, because we use his articles (with permission) I thought it only fair to add his link requesting advertisers to the bottom of the page that lists his articles about our class (Mrs. Harris would hate me for that sentence!).  That link is on the "1978 Sports Articles" page.

  • 16 Nov 2004 - Added the "Countdown till Mini Reunion" to the opening page.

  • 06 Nov 2004 - Updated the questionnaire with some validation checks.

  • 3 Nov 2004 - Jack Cunniff sent in a questionnaire and it was only about 75% successful.  I have now fixed those problems.  I'll know for sure the next time it is used.

  • 01 Nov 2004 - Sent an email to Classmates warning them about a virus running around using my email address as the FROM address.

  • 17 Oct 2004 - Took Stacey Lavin off the "missing" web page.

  • 11 Oct 2004 - Karl Gies pointed out that the Search page wasn't working.  When I fixed it, I also noticed that it was only searching a few pages.  I have now fixed it so it searches all relevant pages.  I think you'll like searching for yourself/classmates now, especially if you/they were at the 25th Reunion.

    Fixed link problems on the Marriages page.  When you click on a name of a Classmate, it will take you to their Bio.  This problem surfaced when I realized I had Karla's last name spelled AndrewS in a few places.  That has been fixed as well.

  • 01 Oct 2004 - Sent an email to Classmates to let them know of the article in the Helena Independent Record about Art Pembroke.  If you didn't get the email on this, you can see the article under Art's Bio.  Thank you Kimmy O'Connell/Skiftun for passing this information on.

  • 19 Sep 2004 - Added a link to the emails that I send out for those that didn't receive it.  Helps to clarify my short explainations of the email.

  • 17 Sep 2004 - Found a way to better do the Classmate Roster (Classmate Address info).  Uploaded the new page. Everyone's data is updated now.  Found a problem with the servers new Secure Web Page procedures.  It asks for your userid/password twice for some reason.  I'll work that eventually.

  • 17 Sep 2004 - Updated Jimmer Sullivan's address/phone numbers.  Thanks Jimmer.

  • 16 Sep 2004 - Thank You Kimmy O'Connell/Skiftin for the classmate updates.  I called Matt Huber and got further information on him.  Added Jerry McGuire, Jimmer Sullivan, and Stacy Lavin's info.  This information will not appear on the web page for awhile.  Sorry, but it is a major undertaking to do that.  If any one wants this updated information before I post it, let me know and I'll pass it on.

  • 14 Sep 2004 - Did some major cleanup on the files on the server.  Chances are fair that I deleted a file I shouldn't have, so please, if you come across a broken link, let me know so I can fix it.

  • 14 Sep 2004 - Finally found a way to make it so that when you send a message to the "webmaster" that both Theresa and I get it.  I'm modifying pages now to send email to both webmasters.

  • 13 Sep 2004 - Sent an email to Classmates to let them know about cosmetic changes to the web page and to ask their help with missing classmates.  Once I send this message, I'll list any "unable to reach" folks here as well.

  • 13 Sep 2004 - I've updated the "Missing Classmates" page.  There are now actually two of them.  One is who was considered missing for the 25th Reunion and who is still considered missing.

  • 10 Sep 2004 - Added the Don Thelen and Christina Shaw marriage to the Marriages web page.  Found that we were not listed on Google.com so I went through the process of applying our page to Google. If I did it correctly, we will be the first Alumni page listed for the state of Montana on Google.com

  • 09 Sep 2004 - Are you ready for some football!?  Well, I am.  I just finished a major face lift for all the pages (and the first game of the season starts in an hour).  No new data, it just looks better on the screen.  I'm still working a few things on the opening page, but in the mean time it works just fine.

  • 08 Sep 2004 - Happy birthday dad.  Re-did the opening page completely, I hope you like it.  Added a Reunion Humor page (thanks Kimmy for those jokes).  Split the links to "Other Class of 78 Web Sites" off to it's own page.  Prettied up Dan O'Fallon's speech at the 20th reunion so it looks better.  Fixed a typo in Scott Romine's obituary.

  • 07 Sep 2004 - Fixed a format problem with Microsoft Internet Explorer.  Now the web page looks the same no matter what browser you are using.

  • 06 Sep 2004 - Added a link at the bottom of this page to the home page.  This will allow me to use this page as a link in email messages and still give classmates a link to the home page.  Took down the "Sign Guest Book" menu option and renamed the "View Guest Book" to "Guest Book".  You can still sign the guest book from the "Guest Book" option.  This was done because spammers were posting links to sexual sites in the guest book weekly.  Hopefully this will stop that.  Updated the Classmate Calendar .css to make it appear in brown and golds instead of aqua colors.  Also made it a popup window because it was so hard to get back to the CHS78 Menu.  Took down the "Reunion Idea's".  I broke it and it wasn't being used to and it is easier to take it down then fix it.  Rearranged the menu options on the main page based on the above changes.

  • 01 Sep 2004 - Fixed the link to our secure web pages (i.e. classmate addresses/personal information).  Seems the folks that manage the server made a change and forgot to tell the customers that they needed to make a changes to there web page coding.

  • 28 Aug 2004 - Fixed the credits page after I broke it trying to add a thank you to Kimmy O'Connell/Skiftun.

  • 26 Aug 2004 - Took down the Jeff McDermott/Julie Beckstrom marriage

  • 22 Aug 2004 - Added a current photo of Jason McIntyre (and me).

  • 22 Aug 2004 - Added Jeff McDermott and Julie Beckstrom (Class of 1980) to the marriage page.  This information is based on 3rd hand information, so if anyone knows any better, please let me know!

  • 22 Aug 2004 - Fixed the spelling of Diane MacKennon's name (I didn't capitalize the K in her name).  Fixed the link to Greg Patton's Photo with Ed Campbell (under Greg's name).  Fixed a formatting error on the Q-R page.  Removed an unanswered question under Dwight Siewert's name.  Minor changes to make this page look better.

  • 20 Aug 2004 - Minor updates to the guest book and also added a feature to let me (and you) know via email that an update was processed.

  • 08 Aug 2004 - Updated Rod Bond's Bio.

  • 07 Aug 2004 - Took down the "Are you going to the Informal Reunion" questionnaire.

  • 28 Jul 2004 - Sent an email to classmates as a final reminder of the Informal reunion and telling them about the message board.

  • 28 Jul 2004 - Added a posting area for folks to tell us if they planned on making the Informal Reunion.

  • 18 Jul 2004 - Updated Susan Kelly/Freund's bio and updated the Class Calendar.

  • 14 Jul 2004 - Sent an email to classmates reminding them of the informal reunion and of the web page changes.  I'll use bold letters to indicate the last "classmate" email to make it easier to see what has changed since the last "classmate" email.

  • 14 Jul 2004 - Added this web page to the site.

  • 14 Jul 2004 - Updated the Questionnaire page and made it easier for me to cut and paste between public and private information, also lets the user know what is public and what is private data.

  • 14 Jul 2004 - Added "profession" and "department" to the questionnaire.

  • 14 Jul 2004 - Added "hobbies" to the questionnaire (thanks to my wife and daughter).

  • 12 Jul 2004 - Added Rod Bond and his bio.

  • 10 Jul 2004 - Deleted the "CHS78 Email List" link that allowed users to add themselves to an email list.  I screwed this one up so figured it best to delete the option.

  • 10 Jul 2004 - Updated the "Classmates Address Info" page (password protected).  Due to problems with Excel 2003 and saving data to a web page, there are now a few options when you go to the "Classmates Address Info" link (password protected area).  You can now view the crappy web page that Excel creates or, if you have Excel on your system, you can download the Excel spreadsheet.  I think you'll like the Excel spreadsheet.

  • 10 Jul 2004 - Updated all the VCards so that classmates can download information right into their email address book.  These VCards contain almost all the information I have on classmates (again, in the password protected area).  The link will take you to a "directory".   From here you can download the VCards of those that you are interested in, or you can download a ZIP file called CHS78VCARDS.ZIP to get everyone's information to add to your email address book.  For those with Outlook 2003, this VCard will also have the persons high school photo included.   A disclaimer here though - so far I only have photos added to A-G folks.
